PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: 06/01/2026
This privacy policy applies to the Watch My Yoga iPhone and Apple Watch app (the "App") published by Gary Waliczek / Three Day Weekend Solutions. The App is also published under the name YogaTrack on Apple Watch.
What the App Does
The App tracks your yoga practice on iPhone and Apple Watch. It calculates calorie estimates from your heart rate, body measurements, and workout duration, and records the result as a workout in Apple Health. All processing happens on your device — there is no Watch My Yoga server, and your health data never leaves your iPhone or Apple Watch (except to be stored in your own Apple Health database).
Apple HealthKit (Apple Health)
The App reads the following data from Apple Health on your device, with your permission, so it can calculate accurate calorie estimates and personalize your practice:
- Heart rate — live samples during practice, plus your historical resting heart rate to personalize calorie math.
- Active energy burned — used as input for the calibration walk, and read back from your saved workouts for the Summary screen.
- Body mass (weight) — required for accurate calorie estimates.
- Height — required for accurate calorie estimates.
- Biological sex — required for accurate calorie estimates.
- Date of birth — required for accurate calorie estimates.
- Past yoga workouts and mindful sessions — to populate History, weekly Apple Watch complication counts, and the Practice Summary screen.
The App writes the following back to Apple Health:
- A yoga workout entry for each completed practice, including duration, active and total energy burned, and heart-rate samples collected during the session.
- A mindful session entry for the cumulative minutes you spent in your mindful heart-rate zone during the practice.
All HealthKit data is stored by Apple in your local Health database under Apple's privacy policy. We never transmit your HealthKit data to our servers (we don't have any) or to any third party.
Data Stored On Your Device
The App stores a small amount of state on your device using Apple's standard user-defaults storage, so it remembers your preferences between launches:
- Your most recently selected yoga style.
- Your personal calorie-multiplier from the optional 5-minute calibration walk (also written to Apple Health as a calibration workout).
- Your subscription state, fetched from Apple's StoreKit.
- Your analytics opt-in preference (see below).
- Cached counts for the watch face complication, shared between the watch app and its widget via Apple's app-group storage.
None of this data is transmitted off your device.
Anonymous Analytics and Crash Reports
The App sends a small number of anonymous events to Firebase Analytics and crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics (both operated by Google) so we can see whether features work and where they break. When sent, this data includes:
- App-usage events (screens opened, features tapped) — counts only, no content.
- Crash stack traces and the device model + OS version where the crash happened.
- A randomly generated Firebase Installation ID that identifies your installation but not you.
The events we send never include your heart rate, weight, height, calorie totals, biological sex, date of birth, or any other health information. This restriction is enforced in code: the App's analytics layer strips health-related fields before any event is sent. See Firebase's privacy information for details about how Google handles the data we do send.
Firebase Analytics is configured in privacy-friendly mode: no Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is collected, no Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt is required, and the data is not used to track you across other apps or services. A future version of the App may add an in-app preference to disable analytics and crash reporting; if it does, this policy will be updated to describe how to use it.
In-App Purchases
The App offers an optional yearly subscription that unlocks additional features. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework under Apple's iTunes Store terms. The App receives only a confirmation of whether your purchase is active; it does not see your Apple ID, payment method, or any billing detail.
Tracking
The App does not use the IDFA, does not require Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, does not embed any advertising SDK, and does not use any third-party tracking domains. Nothing the App does fits Apple's definition of "tracking" under the App Tracking Transparency framework.
Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+. Because the App collects no personally identifying information of any kind and all health data stays on your device under Apple's protection, it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by collecting no information from children or anyone else.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. If the App ever begins collecting data in a way not described above, this policy will be updated and you will be notified within the App before any new data is collected.
